  One place I would definitely like to visit is Greece, starting with Athens, its capital. Why? For all its History and Culture. I'd love to walk through the same places that philosophers like Plato and Aristotle walked centuries ago. Nowadays, Athens is a city that holds many cultural and architectural treasures; discovering the ancient city that is still alive in every corner would be simply wonderful! Another reason why I would like to travel to Greece is Santorini. It would be a dream to be able to walk through the passages with blue-roofed houses facing the sea. I have read that the best time to travel is in spring or autumn, because the temperatures in summer are too high. On the other hand, winter is not the best time, because the brightly coloured flowers are best seen during the rest of the year, not in winter.  Finally, I must mention that Greek cuisine is really delicious.  Hello there! Today I am going to talk about Leonardo da Vinci. Together with some of my classmates, we think he was the first designer. Why? Because through the observation of references that he found in nature, Leonardo was inspired to create new inventions. He analyzed these references, then made sketches until he came up with a design that convinced him. He looked for materials to build some models and then created a prototype, which is practically the work of a designer.  Over time, it has been believed that some of his inventions did not work, but in fact he purposely left mistakes in his books so that if they were stolen, they could not be put together. Only he knew where the mistake was and could build his invention right. Leonardo da Vinci, as we all know, was born in Vinci, in 1452. He trained as an artist in Florence, in the workshop of Andrea del Verrocchio, but much of his career was spent in other Italian cities such as Milan and Rome, where he worked as an engin...

 Here I am with new friends I made at the First International Poetry Encounter in Aruba. All of us in this photo come from different countries and for some of us, this was the first time we visited the island.  Aruba is a small island located in the Caribbean Sea a few kilometers north of Venezuela and it belongs to the Netherlands. The language of Aruba is Papiamento, which sounds like a mixture of Italian, French, Spanish, a little English and Dutch, plus indigenous words. All the people there speak 4 or 5 languages.  We took this picture to remember our time together at this event. We had a great time together. We ate a lot of fried things, talked about topics that interested us and laughed a lot. The person I felt closest to is Marta, from Puerto Rico. We became very close friends and we write each other by WhatsApp very often.

  My favorite piece of technology My camera is my favorite piece of technology! Photography is not just a hobby for me, it's something more.  It's a way to preserve beautiful or happy moments. When I travel, I always take it with me! Even if sometimes I forget the batteries at home and I have to buy some new ones in the city I'm visiting. My camera is a Nikon Coolpix 830, semi-professional, red. I bought it about 5 years ago, it was on sale. Even though it's old, it still takes very good pictures. I've thought about buying a new one, but after the pandemic, for some reason, cameras have gone up in price.  I like to capture landscapes, the colors of the sunset, everything! I have met people I don't know if I will ever see again, but I have the memory of what I lived with them saved in my heart... and some photos to remember!

Why I did choose my major? Hello everyone! Today I will write the story about how I chose my mayor. I'll try to be brief, because this could actually take several pages! In the beginning, I liked many majors. All very different from each other. When I was very young, I even thought about being a singer… imagine! I don't even have a pitched voice. Later, in the first years of High School, I thought about Art or Architecture, because I liked to draw, but then Science interested me more, and I leaned towards Engineering. In the end, since I never made up my mind completely, I entered Bachelor of Science at PUCV (because I am from Viña, and that university was "close" to me, in Valparaíso). This is an academic degree that lasts 2 years and allows you to study subjects of different majors at the same time and then choose. Who am I? Hello! My name is América Merino, I am a third-year Graphic Design student at Universidad de Chile. Me! :)  I was born in Viña del Mar, a city in the center of the country, with beautiful beaches, although sometimes very cold! Sometimes I miss Viña, my friends and some relatives... also the weather, which is much better than in Santiago!! In Viña with some friends. I like to read and walk around places surrounded by trees, that's why I also love the south. In fact, last year for my birthday my boyfriend invited me to Huilo Huilo, and we spent three days in a cabin literally in the middle of the forest. We hiked the trails and saw waterfalls, some animals like deer, wild boar, and lots of birds too. It was a very nice birthday!                                                                       ...
